I am excited and nervous at the smae time. Especially after reading Custom'* post, i makes me feel like I cant handle hard work. I mean I just have to get back in the habit of studying, writing, reading, typing and testing a lot again. Its been almost 9 years since I been in college. I wish I finished up back then but I now have a chance to actually do it. I havent had any discouraging words for those I've told that I was going back to school but I have been told the same thing, "You are going to have to discipline yourself going to an on-line class". I thought about it but I was thinking that I would have to do that anyway even if I was in an actual calssroom. Well, I pray that I do ok with 3 days a week for work and 4 classes just to start off.

not to dampen your spirits, but my online class hs so far been my wors grade ever. i have a straight C...im used to A'*. i really procrastinate until 4 hours before its due, and then do it all then. handed in my paper last night with 60 seconds left on the clock, had a week to do it.... :?

I am sure you're going to do just fine. Do you have a major or are you taking General education classes? If they're Gen-Ed it shouldn't be too bad. My biggest bit of advice is to make sure you keep up with your classes and don't procrastinate. Once you get behind it is so hard to get caught back up. My major (currently) is computer information systems (computer networking.) and learning all this stuff this fast is hectic. We're covering around 90 pages per day right now.

So, with that said, what classes are you taking? If you ever need help there are plenty of smart people on this board that can always help you out with something.

90 pages?!?!? Yeah, for the first part is just Gen-d. My major is Criminal Justice. I really want to become a state trooper. That job is just calling my name. But looking at my state requirements after I signed up for calss, I think I am in the worng field.

you'll be fine! I have 2 online courses now and so far i'm doing really good. the key is trying to stay ahead of everyone else. i completed one of my courses 6 weeks into the semester now i don't have to worry about that course anymore. i owuld've done the same with the second course but the teacher only opens the tests on certain dates and that prevents me from completing early. But it is true that you have to discipline yourself more with online work because everything is at your own pace. Just try to balance what you're doing and you'll be fine.
