I came up on it from behind in heavy traffic today and didn't recognize anything about it. Not badges or emblems or anything. But it looked realllly clean. I was able to get alongside it and didn't notice any badges, I tried to get the drivers attention but he never looked over. Then it got away. Few minutes later I caught up to it again and was trying to get up far enough to find a badge/emblem or even the grill to see what Make it resembles. Finally I was able to inch forward enough to catch a glimpse of the Cadillac Emblem. Then I ended up next to the car at a red light. Gave the driver a thumbs up to say 'Nice Car' and he had a big grin on his face after that.
The license plate said ALLANTA, but I didn't know that was the car at the time, found that out at home.
Some more details about the Allanté (Brought to you by the all knowing Wiki):
Only 21,430 built between '87 and '93
Body built in Italy, Then Shipped by plane to the US, 56 cars at a time, to be put on a chassis.
In its last year, the '93 Allanté got the 4.6 N* and could pull a 15.0 @ 93 mph.
Base price was about $54,000.
