I'm surprised both of them were not killed immediately, after seeing the pictures.

What I don't understand is the parents needing the other driver to come forward. Obvisously there was some street racing, so the law is involved, but the parents need closure to know how the street race happened? ...Maybe you have a be a parent to understand...

Either way, I feel bad for everyone involved... :(

On the 11 o'clock news they said he was racing a Neon & the police are interviewing the driver. Makes you wonder what they can charge him with.

Well, they can't charge him with bad taste in vehicles, though that would be appropriate. They may try to get him to plea to some wreckless driving charge/fleeing the scene of an accident, but if the Neon didn't make contact with the Mustang, good luck to the DA proving it.

It'* sad the fellow driving the Mustang got himself killed and took his girlfriend out in the process. But he'* a victim of his own stupidity in some respects (or just being a kid with a fast car and lacking to good sense to know when and where to use it.)

street-racing itself is a crime, and if there are two witnesses ...

thats really sad. but whats worse is that the moron took his girlfriend with him. if he wants to kill himself racing, thats one thing, but to take his girlfriend with him ... im glad no one else was injured and my heart goes out to the families.
