Default FOR SALE: '72 GMC Jimmy 4x4 w/ pictures

This is a great little truck for someone interested in custom off-roading.

The frame is in great shape. It has a 305 under the hood (runs great!!) with an auto trans. Front driver side locking hub needs to be replaced. The stock ride height on these trucks is pretty high so I dont recall any suspension modifications on this truck and clears 31" tires easily.

OK thats it for the drivetrain.

Body is in bad shape. Almost all the body panels have some, if not alot, of rust. This is a factory hard-top convertible and i am currently selling WITHOUT the hardtop, but it is availible for extra. The front window frame is cutoff and sitting in the back of the bed. It needed rust repair and will require some fabbing to put it back in.

So essentially this auction is for RUNNING AND DRIVING DRIVETRAIN. The body is thrown in free to the highest bidder you can drop another body on this frame or build up a custom tube-truck. These drivetrains are bullet-proof. And the suspention provides plenty of clearance.

Pictures availible sometime tomorrow by request.

Starting price $700 OBO.

P.*> This is mee trying to earn up $6k for a new car. Cause i know mine isnt worth more than 2-3k

I was looking for something to restore. I've been looking a while and have seen some in god aweful shape, so I know what to expect. Mainly I have my eye on one that'* a plow truck right now. My big thing would be the top, and the hard to get parts, likethe bed rails and upper window frame. I can cobble together floor pans and bed sides fron a C10 and door can be had the same way.

Hrmm if you are going to restore it you might want to look for a body. Unless you are REALLLLY ambitious. The price is great for what you get though (frame, engine, transmission... not much of a body).

ill sell you the whole thing top and all for $900. (that is, after i get you some pictures) The tops are HOT items in the C/K truck crowd, and this one is in pretty great shape since its all fiberglass.

PICTURES ARE HERE... sorry for the long delay.

Still up for grabs! The top that is ON the Jimmy is NOT for sale. It is the one you see pictured on the ground. Yes, it is a 72 GMC Jimmy with a Chevy Blazer front grill and glove box cover.

that'* not nearly half as bad as I expected. Too bad it is so far. Would be great for parts or even attempt to restore.

Once you get fuel to it (the fuel filter leaks and therefore the carb is dry after a week) it starts RIGHT up and idles smoother than my Bonneville.

I've driven much worse....

That'll be a good score for someone who wants a backwoods beater. Good luck with your sale....
