cool well i just wanted to know who lived in sacramento so when ever i need a hand to help me with my re eye i can talk to hem.but i have something to say, theres a guy who saip that there proud to be the only guy to run the zilla in 87 octane, well, ive allways ran my red eyes in 87,cause i go to school and back.i only live a mile away from school.in school, our teacher told us that if you run your car in 91 octane all the time even if your engine was made to burn that fuel, its bad.runing 91 all the time is bad.i put 91 maybe when i have over 30 dollars in my wallet to spend, but since i allways have about 10,i put 87.oh and when i go visit my family down in Castroville,CA(ARTICHOKE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD).anyways, but at least i know theres people that live in sacramento that are i the bonnevilleclub.
SSEi93, you are doing long-term damage to your car by not running premium fuel, and it'* worse for you with California'* shitty eco-blended gas.
When I travel to CA twice a year, I carry either 2 gallons of Toluene to boost my octane, or a 5-gallon can of 100-octane to spike it up.
Your car requires premium fuel, regardless of your driving habits or conditions.

HAHA.
really.thats a cool way to meet him.well wilren,im put 108 octane booster to my car in each full up i do in the gas stations.but when you say long term damage to my engine, are you talking about pistons breaking or what?im curious.
That 108 booster is a joke, as are most over the counter octane boosters. It'* actually only raising your octane a point or two. That'* POINT 1 or POINT2. From 87 to 87.2 at the most. This is common knowledge. An octane 'point' is a TENTH of an octane unit. Not a full digit.
Pistons, rings, and everything below, not to mention spark plugs and valves. Your engine requires premium fuel. California'* blend makes it even more important for you to always run nothing less than 91 octane.
No disrespect intended, but if you can't afford the 91 octane fuel, you should sell the car. Your car will actually get BETTER mileage with the proper octane, since the lower octane has caused your car to retard the ignition timing to prevent detonation.
I actually did a test on this with my 95 (which is also supercharged). I ran two tanks of mid-grade and my fuel mileage dropped. I also calculated the fuel savings at less than a $50 difference over a year. Do the math, and consider the risks. I think you'll see the logic in running premium fuel at all times. It'* required.
