The rise of downed pc's!
We used to have 3 running desk tops and a laptop and life was easy (from a networked computer sense).
Yesterday we were down to one and have been for a few months now.
Well one of them was a hacked together pc I put together for my son. Mostly old parts from work kinda thing. And to top it off I used a hacked version of windows xp pro from emule to run it. But after a few years they caught us, and the sytem failed to boot one day
So this morning I got a fresh copy of windows (legal) and re-loaded the system
Back to 2.
The 3rd pc is my Daughters and was dead, no turn on even with a new power supply.
Viola! a dead fused resistor on the mother board! And now we have 3!
The lap top has broken pc board for the power plug in, not an easy fix and is in a million pieces. Will work on this tommorow.
I prolly have enough parts for a ghetto shop pc.......maybe another Sandrock special with Ubuntu

"Special" huh?
Ubuntu is great if you don't have any LexDell printers. HP printers work great with that OS though. There should be a new release coming out soon too!
