Default Renter'* Tahoe fire

Our land renter'* Tahoe. It had an engine fire, I think the tranny line blew. Too bad I couldn't get the hood open to see.
Anything that could burn did.

The wheel melted!!!

Total meltdown.
Almost as chilling as the movie Gothika that I watched last night.

It was green. You can see a little paint left on the passenger side of the hood and fender.

The 92 and 93 Bonnevilles had a recall on them several years back for a trans line blowing out of a crimp. It sprays trans fluid onto the front header, and ignites. Mine must have missed the recall. Very nearly cost me the car, but I got it put out with a bottle of WS washer fluid (thankfully not the flammable kind). I'd left my extinguisher out of the car when I'd moved, and hadn't put it back.

I'd bet more than 75% of the Bonnevilles/LeSabre'* that had this actually happen aren't with us today. The local Pontiac dealership agrees with me on that. I've seen 4 or 5 burnt SE'* at wrecking yards in the last year.
