Default rant - suck it up and move on.

im tired of hearing about how bad everyone else has it. listen, life isnt easy. i understand that, you understand that, and everyone else understands it too. so whats the point in complaining to everyone about how bad you have it? you dont know how bad i have it, so what makes you think i care about how your $500 needs a new battery a year after you bought it? suck it up. either fix whatevers wrong and move on, or die. dont whine about it. dont cry to me how your dad died or how your dog got hit by a car. i dont care. i feel for you, but if you think im going to drop what im doing so i can hold your hand while you go through what EVERYONE goes through, or listen to you complain about how tough you have it, think again.

people. just suck it up and get on with your life. no one told you itd be a cakewalk.

and if you cant suck it up, die. dont just whine and impose on everyone else because you arent "man" enough to move on.

i heard a comedy bit not too long ago that rang true, too.
dont tell me how youve eaten a grape in the past three days, and youre only going to "be able" to eat a slice of bread today. know how many people ive known that STARVED to death? not one, and ive a suspicion you wont either. so dont cry to me. if you die from malnutrition, well see i was wrong. until then, dont whine about it.

summary: you make your own decisions and you make your own life. there are no excuses and theres no point in making them. just make your decisions, and if it doesnt work, suck it up and move on. something happens you didnt count on, take it in and move on. no one wants to hear you moan about how tough you have it, because (and get this) - WE ALL GO THROUGH THIS.

If you are refering to other member'* on this club you are not being respectful or considerate towards anyone. If you are talking about personal life, I'm sorry that you feel that way...

dang, if we didn't post about any of the problems our cars have, we wouldn't have a forum here.

I don't totally agree, either. It'* only natural, and decent, to lend advice to someone who needs support, and ideas, when life gets tough. Not everyone knows exactly what to do at all times. I find it a bit selfish if you're not willing to listen to other people'* problems and try to give them advice. By GIVING advice you're also helping YOURSELF.

Just this last month, I made a post very similar to what you're describing. I had cancer just this last month, melanoma, and yeah, it was a scary experience. Did I log on begging for sympathy or complain that I had it so bad because I was so "unlucky" to get cancer at 20 years old? No. I asked that other members make sure that they keep an eye out for the warner signs because it can happen to them too! By telling other people about what happened to me, it'* possible to help other people. If someone has such a problem listening to other people'* problems, then just don't read or listen about them. If you react the same way in real life, I don't think people would be willing to help you if you needed help, either.

Just my 2 cents.

youre missing the point. its pity-parties that rant was against. not trying to help. its the person whos convinced that they have it the WORST out of everyone else when, if they actually looked at it, they dont have it that bad and the bad they have is their own fault.
