Nah. Global warming, truly global warming trends, are something I still haven't bought into. I think this is all just a cycle that comes around once in a while, and we haven't been around long enough to know that this just happens.

We got tons of rain. Our backyard is flooded to hell, and it'* never flooded before. Our sump pump has been working pretty hard today. There was lightening and thunder, apparently. I was sleeping, but I do remember the house shaking overnight [it shakes when there is a thunderstorm]. It is strange, although I have only lived here for 5 years, I guess nothing really ceases to amaze me with this shitty weather.

Wow, someone who thinks what I do. How long have humans been recording weather patterns? 150 years? And how old is the planet?
Stupid academics always pushing their theories like fact.
This winter has hardly lived up to the name, I think we've had more rain than snow!

Exactly, I don't believe in global warming at all. I almost got a degree in meteorology so I know about weather trends. A lot of people say " there isn't as much snow as there was when I was a kid." I say, "thats because you grew up in the 60s, which was the snowiest decade in the past 150 years." Trust me weather comes and goes in cycles. There are extremes. Thats what happens when you live on a continent away from marine influences.

Global warming is in fact a true phenomenon. It occurs every 10000 years and is caused because the Earth'* orbit around the sun gets narrower. Although this is a long and slow process, it is regular. In fact, what some scientists argue is that they think that Mars is going through a global warming "cliche`" right now. They bring up the facts of traces of water and many other planetary features of Mars. So basically, if Mars could be a little farther from the sun, it would have been just like Earth.

But anyway...... another issue is proof. Scientists say that Earth has been through global warmings before. The last global warming was responsible for "removing" the ice from the Ice Age. Earth is getting closer to its next warming but it is not due for a looooong time. So just relax....

To tell you the truth, as you can see from the picture below, I could sure use some "warming".
