When doing a transmission fluid change don't forget to put the magnet back in the pan before bolting it up. I cleaned it and stuck it to my cat to not forget it and then forget it. No worries I didn't put fluid in it yet when I figured on my faux pas.

Did that once. Always a pain to forget something stupid.

Although to me the cat is a bit far back to be putting it. You have long arms.

I just leave it in that pan, then when I clean the pan out I put it right back in.

I did my trans once and didn't know I forgot until I dropped the pan about a year later. Ahh, that will explain the magnet I found. I had several trans pulled apart.

I just pull it out hold onto it clean it all up and throw it back in...No forgetting cause im really forgetfu....Wait what was i saying lol

Slap a speaker magnet on the pan, throw the OEM in the toolbox and forgetaboutit.
