That being said....how many cops do you know that when looking on forums for street racers, the first place that comes to their mind is BonnevilleClub? I mean I know the potential of these cars as well as anyone else, but do you think Bonnevilles are a major target segment for cops? I would strongly say no.
Once again, I do not miss the Kill Stories section, the BS in there was pretty deep most of the time, I think it should have had a little popup that said "put your waders on" before you were allowed to enter, nor do I think that racing stories should be allowed, in fact I think we should try to keep mention of all illegal activity to a minimum, but I hardly think that anyone is at risk of being tracked down by the law on BC...now if there car had a giant BC sticker on it or something then MAYBE, but otherwise...very doubtful

IMO I think police are using the internet more and more to catch people doing illegal things. Myspace never had police patroling the site, but now, you hear it in the news......allot!!
I wouldnt be surprised if it was happening to BC. In this day and age it wouldnt be wise to have that "it will never happen to me" train of thought, because in reality, it actually can.
I admit, there have been some good *** videos that I have wanted to post on BC but couldnt and wouldnt because of the no racing story rule.
Thats what PM is for

Bottom line, if you want to street race, go ahead, just dont kill anyone else (seen to much of that lately) and don't post about it BC.
Posting a 0-60 or 0-100 run doesnt instigate conflict...street racing stories do. Thats what it came down to.

The overall attitude and general atmosphere of the Forum was improved dramatically when we killed Kill Stories. It was typically the same 3 members constantly abusing it, but it was a nightmare for the Staff to keep people calm and collected in there.

I would just like to add that the Police dont need the Internet OR myspace for thIs kind of thing.... Sooner or later a flashy car and a little power will get you hunted and followed. Turned my license in Monday, the suspension of 6 months to a year doesnt even start till the case is resolved, and I have already spent over $1500 and 3 150 mile round trips to court.AND facing more money in fines and a possible 30 jail sentence.
Street Racing is fun, has a mystique to it, a easy way to make money if you play it right. But understand the consequences can cost you alot of money and your freedom .....Not to mention lives if the unexpected happens. After 35 years in the "scene" I have decided enuff'* enuff and cant wait to get my life and license back on track and look forward to doing it in the proper manner. In a sanctioned facility without the worry of Law Enforcement or taking out an innocent victim who got in the way of a fast car very hard to control in uncontrollable enviroment. (Thank God that never happened to me)

My 2 cents. If I knew someone who was street racing inmy community, and they were here talking about it. I wouldnt be part of the forum. I have a wife and kids that drive the streets every day. I have no respect for it. There are places you can go and see what your cars do against others. Many of the clubs members have gone to drag strips and had a blast. Do it right or don't do it. Just my rant...

we all like a little light to light action once in a while... we all like a short speed run....
with the racing stories we had nothing but trouble.... It was a sheer PITA for the Mods and us admins.... It got to the point that we weren't even answering questions, updating tech info, or making changes to the board as all of our time was dedicated to taking care of all the issues we had in kill stories...
we finally got to the point where we had a little confrence call between Bill, Myself and Jim... we decided on the spot that kill stories was not worth the effort or time... Nor did it need to be discussed on the forum...
And simply put, we have tried to do the best we can through Jeff the site owner... Although he may not be on here a lot as he is a busy man, He does take part in a lot of the decisions made... And sometimes is used as a sounding board...

Kill stories are just bad news, ppl pretty much willing to kill themselves just to prove another guy wrong or to try and top someone else..
Turned into a "My dick is bigger than yours" pissing match.
Good riddon'* to Kill stories.

On top of that its always the deep pocket clause. Someone goes out, races, smashes the car, and then blames BC becuase of the pressure to do it or some crap like that. BAM were responsible.
