Is there a "clip" or round of ammunition available that turns a "one shot" (ie non automatic) rifle into a semi-automatic rifle. Apparently there is a clip available (thanks a lot btw
) in the US that is illegal in Canada but it has the loading capability to turn a firearm into a semi automatic.
Forgive my terminology, but it would turn a rifle from a "load...bang...reload" into a "load...bang bang bang bang bang bang bang...reload"
Is there such a product?

err...I'm not an expert but that goes against all my knowledge of how a semi-auto/full auto works. Automatics have addtional parts inside that allow them to recharge themselfs. There are three ways I know about (I think thats all there is). In one way a bit of the gas behind the bullet is routed from about halfway up the barrel through a tube back to the bolt and pushes it back which recharges it. This is how the m16 and a few others work. The other two are about the same and use the actual recoil of the weapon to recharge it. One way is just full on recoil which is (IIRC) how the uzi and a few other autos work, the other uses a delay inside it to slow the action down, which is how the MP5 works. The only difference between the semi-auto and the fully-auto is in the triggering mechanism as they both recharge in the same manner. (yes there are ways to modify certain semis into autos)
Again I'm not an expert but this is what I've gathered over the years.

No, Jim. It'* alot more complicated than that. Not really possible at all. Even if you wanted to limit a firearm'* natural ability to fire semiauto, you wouldn't do it with the clip or magazine. It'* totally unrelated.

like he said many semi-automatic rifles can be made to go full auto, im not sure about ones commonly used for hunting such as the SKS, Ruger Mini 14 and AR-15 and whatnot, those are commonly used around here for deer hunting, especially the SKS.

No, its pretty serious stuff..
Say. anyone wanna help me out, and find some kinda legal Canadian document that states its illegal for a person with a criminal record for assault to own a firearm?
Has to be CDN. the Criimal code of Canada is legal jargon and makes limited sense to me

im not so much a firearm owner but if i recall from back in the day (my grandpa had a gun museum in his basement) You can get a bananaclip that would make it
1. load clip
2. **** gun
3. bang
4. **** gun
5. bang
etc until the clip is empty

Bolt action rifles require you to manually eject the cartridge and inject a new one. Semi-automatic'* do it with the gas expansion from the gun powder. They pull the cartidge out and put a new one in there by themselves. Using the extractor to pull it out and the ejector to eject it. and then they pull a new one in using the breech. Full automatics can fire sucessive rounds by holding the trigger down.
Its not in the ammunition. Its all in the internals of the gun and how the gun is made on how it can fire rounds. The magazine doesnt do anything either. It just holds the ammunition.
Is that what you are looking for>
