Macro'* definately are the shiznit. Better than going input-by-input performing every task one at a time.

Well, looks like I'll be purchasing the Sony RM-AX4000. It doesn't have the hard buttons like the RM-AV3100, but I like the cleaner look of it. Plus it has motion macros so you can sweep your finger from side to side and it'll run one macro, etc.

Thanks for all your input. I just don't think I can justify the extra $100 for either of the Logitech and Philips Pronto remotes.

I'm going to be grabbing the Sony from Newegg in a few minutes. I can find it for about $10 cheaper from other online retailers, but I am a loyal Newegg customer and have been for several years. I'd rather buy from them.

BH - Sony RM-AV3100 because I think that the AV3100 has more macro functions than the AX4000... But I might be mistaken...

I don't know if I can justify the additional $100 for the Logitech or any of the Pronto'*...
I can get the following direct from logitech'* website due to a recent partnership:

Logitech® Harmony® 680 - 80.00

Logitech® Harmony® 659 - 80.00

Logitech® Harmony® Remote 688 - Silver - $100

Logitech® Harmony® 880 Advanced Universal Remote - $124.99

just saw, reminded me of this thread

You'd grab one for me at those prices?

I have actually been researching these things intensively for the last few days. I've settled on the Logitech Harmony line, but the 880 caught my eye, but the price was too much...

Would the 880 be the latest revision? Probably if it was straight from Logitech...

Please let me know! That would be killer!

*EDIT* - Can you really get the 880 for $124.99? Also, what can you get the 890 for?
