Okay well I know its not a Bonneville or even close but I need some help with 2 problems. First off all its a 1989 Probe LX with an auto transmission, hopefully somebody out there knows a thing or two about these cars. So anyways after a few hours of hard driving I came to a hard brake and the engine RPM droped to about 500 and the whole engine started to shake. It felt as if it were going to stall.I put the car through all the gears and it only does this in D,OD,and L. The RPM stay normal in every other gear except these ones when idleing. Recently it even started to drop so low it stalled, and I've even noticed the "man shift" light flashes on and off during driving along with the "check engine" light. Second problem is that every single light on the car flickers, not off and on just dim to bright. I need help because I will be driving this while my bonneville is stored. Thanks to anyone with help.

Electrical.....alternator battery, stuff like that?
