Default Pricing Help for Catalytic Converter-98 Pontiac Montana

The dealership says it needs to be replaced along with the Oxygen Sensor.

The Dealership quoted me a price of $807 for the converter and $241 for the Oxygen sensor.

I have an estimate from Mieneke Muffler of $410 for the converter and I will replace the Oxygen sensor my self.

My question is the price from Meineke too much or should I look for another shop. I know a Converter cost around $200 to $225 and their price is probably $125. I do not have the tools to do exhaust work.

Thank you for your help.

The dealership is going to try to screw you, always. Get $50 magnaflow and call it good. Actual installation prices vary, depending on where you are I believe.
