Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

This is pretty sad!

That sucks, but it has been in the works for months...

It is true. Most of the cars we would LOVE to own that are comming out in the next few years, will probably be gone in another 5 - 10 years. There will likely be no V8 powered sedans, or big V6 cars either.

Even though many of us were not around in the 70'* for the big crunch, I am thinking that we all will know how it was back then soon :(

This is exactly why I have this!

Although not everyone can afford one it is one heck of a substitute to the economy car. So what if you don't get to drive it every day. It still beats having only a no go economy car, and I don't see them taking all the classics off of the street.

35 mpg.....no problem for a Six speed auto direct injected 24 valve V6 with about 4.0 liters and a turbo.

At least the ones we have now and the ones coming out will still be here. I don't have to drive a brand-new car, I don't mind driving used, even if it means in 30 years I have to drive a 30 year old car to be happy.

You'd have to pay me a lot more than $5,000 for any of them.
