yep the power went out again...big storm happened earlier...oddly enough the storm is gone and the power went out for no reason....i luckily have my laptop with 2 charged batteries and my dsl modem is running on a ups so we should be good for a few hours.....hoping they get the power back on....

We got hit with a bump on Thursday while at work. Everyone but me lost work. My laptop held, while everyone else dumped. I lost my workstation, but had no work on it.

We've scavenged a bunch of UPS'* for the next time. I've now got my workstation, laptop, printer/scanner/fax/copier and both USB hubs and both monitors running off a UPS. Both computers will do a controlled shutdown on their own if I'm not there.

well I survived...storm messed up the town a little but nothing serious. worst damage I saw was a tree that fell on a riced out cavalier....
