Sounds like a problem with your pc, Jeffrey.

BTW, watch out for 'Trickler'. That'* the latest by Gator. It slowly installs Gator on your pc over time to 'sneak' it back in after you delete it. Does it slowly so you don't notice. I'll vouch for adaware, too.

Jeffrey, you may need to upgrade/re-install your browser if the problem with BC persists.

There is a way you can stop that. I did it on my internet gateway box (I have a LAN at home). There is a service you can disable that will prevent them from showing up. I think it is the "messenger" service, but I can't remember for sure. If you disable this service so it won't start the messages won't display on your pc anymore. I was getting those ads about once a week, I disabled the service, and now I get none.

Those messenger type ads are classic. In fact, one showed up that actually instructed me on how to get rid of them! The comp that the rest of my family uses is a MS Windows 2000 OS

It only affects Windows 2000 and XP, I run 98 on my system, and no problems.

Ofcoarse, only 2k and newer pc'* come with the service loaded. You can send messages between compatable OS'* but 98 and older are not part of them. It'* one of those "extra features" that Microsoft so graciously included.

I haven't seen it show up 40 times in a row (a virus maybe?) but it does come up frequently.

Go online and download Ad-aware and use this to help clean up your system. This will only clean it, not protect it. I am haveing similar issues with everything reappearing. At work, we are tracking down the servers that these programs download from and we are blocking hem. When I find out the server names I will post them so everyone who hates those popups can finally stop them.
Thanks for the link dude. I was reading this post section, and realised I had the same messanger service pop ups. I also get the same pop up every time I go to webshots.com. I figurd at some point I should boot all the spy ware on my system, but I got lazy.
Any ways, I just down loaded Ad-aware and I went onto webshots.com and no pop ups. Damn do I hate those pop ups .

What OS are you using?? we get alot of people calling us blaming it on our ISP service, but it'* called messenger service. in xp it is pretty simple to trun off. I hvae done it to all my systems.

I have seen a few different names on different systems but it'* basically the same thing.

Hope this picture will help, This pic is on a win XP PRO OS
