Exactly why we don't like racing stories here.

It'* a good thing noone got hurt, and a shame about the car. But, lying to the cops and whatnot ain't such a great idea, and not advice that should be taken by others

yes they shouldnt have lied. Also there are laws/amendments to protect people from self-incrimination, but asking for a street racing ticket and 50% insurance increase is probably not the best thing for someone that just wrote off there car...

yet another fine example that if you put a car against an inanimate object ( walls or tree in this case ) you will lose.

If the rear was clipped.. there should be skid mark to show the rear end skidding out cause the ABS wouldn't be able to stop skidding sideways.. unless it'* clipped enough to give him enough understeer to miss the turn.. damm lucky the cop was nice, as they would figure without skid marks, you know you must've been going pretty damm quick.. but I guess with no real hard proof that you're going that fast and not able to know the exact or ball park of speed, the case won't hold up in court.

Thank god he got out of it alright.

Unless he went WOT just before the turn thus lightening the front end as the weight transfered to the back and forced an understeer and by the time he left off the gas, it was too late then.

Glad he'* alright.. I would be rippin a lot of parts off that car. ASAP.. thankfully he was lucky enough to get the stereo out.

So much for his insurance.. I bet it will go up.. cause even though it may hold technically a Camero clipped him and took off ( hit and run ) there'* no one else for the inusurance to nail but him

Like I said in earlier posts, I don't know all the real facts of the accident. I was merely woken up at 1 am and told about it and since it was fairly close to me and I knew the guy calling I went to take a look, I like looking at wrecked cars for some reason and take pictures, but I already knew that no one was hurt.

I have no clue if a camero really clipped him or not, all I really know is that there was a camero there and speed were probably around 160-180km/h maybe more( 100-115mph) and there is a bend/corner just before where it happened. Also the rear driver'* corner of the bumper is pushed in which would actually follow the camero story.

I just wanted to post pictures of the accident cause it WAS a nice car and thankfully no one was hurt. I don't really care about insurance and cops and whatnot. Not my problem I just took pictures and helped rip out the stereo.

Think of it what you will. I just thought it was a real shame that it happened to such a nice car. Also had he been driving a Honda or even a Malibu for that matter I really don't think the outcome would have been the same.

So in conclusion, everyone is OK car is not and the car probably saved his life. Then again he probably killed the cars life, LMFAO. From what I hear he feels the same way about his car as we feel about ours. So it is like he lost a part of his family.
