Point-and-shoot camera recommendations
Anybody have some good recommendations for a point-and-shoot camera in the $100-$150 price range? What are some important features to look for? I wouldn't mind finding one that also takes video with sound. Any suggestions are welcome!
I normally don't buy HP cameras, even though I work for them, I go for higher features like the Sony and other premium cameras. However, for the shoot for cheap with quality crowd, I always suggest hp.
For what you get, that'* the way to go. For the typical photographer that isn't into the advanced features, you can't go wrong. Look for a 5 or 6 megapixel from hp in your price range.

Well, I guess it depends on what your going to use it for. You can get more megapixle resolution with a less known brand or you can get lower resolution and have a higher quality device like Canon or Nikon. Myself, I love the Canon PowerShot Series. My A95 was awesome, eventhough it was only 5 megapixles. I have a Samsung now with 7 megapixles, however, I'd go back to the Canon in a second.

Anything will be better than my 2.2 megapixel Kodak Easyshare... what a POS! I'll keep looking on Ebay. So Canon and Nikon are recommended brands for good lense quality?

I would suggest an older higher end model thats been discounted rather than a brand new cheap one. For the web or up to 5x7 prints you dont really need anything for than a 3 mp camera fwiw.
Kodak usually uses one of the better lenses out there. Which one do you have?
