please. gouge my eyes out!
I had been taking some pictures earlier with a digital camera I bought from someone local and I deleted some pictures I wanted to keep. So, I download a file recovery program and recovered picturs which had been deleted. I not only found the pictures I wanted to find but I also came across disturbing nude pictures of the previous owner. Why me. Gouge my eyes out will ya! I did NOT want to see that. i'm scarred for life.
On a plus side, it atleast looked like a fun vacation for him.

well I guess you have to take the good with the bad.
My dad accidently deleted pictures from our families Cali vacation...and we were not able to recover them. So consider yourself luckey.
He even deleted the pictures of me in some guys ferarri. (while filling up the rental, I took pictures of his car and he told me to get in, and he took a few pictures of me in it. that leather was so nice.)

my guess is that as long as that part of the card hasn't been written over they will still be there. Also, if they were just deleted they will still be there. Format the card and everything is lost.

that is mostly true except for the formatting part. All format does is wipe the fat table. You woul have write 0000 all of the card to get rid if the old data for sure

What program did you use to recover the images? I would like to track a program down just in case. With all the pictures I use for work, I have had the camera delete pictures on it'* own before.
