When responding to a post, please don't quote it if you are right after it. Unless you are pointing out or answering just a specific part and remove the rest from the quote.

Specific problem: Quoting pictures. You should edit picture tags out of your quotes unless you are specifically addressing the picture itself. Even then, you should refer to it in text if possible.
Makes it easier on the 56K guys, and also makes it easier to scroll through a conversation.

The only problem with not quoting a post....

Sometimes if a thread is busy and you're writing a long response to the last post, you'll submit your post only to find out one or two people already jumped ahead of you. Then, without the quote, it can be unclear to whom you are responding. It has happened to me multiple times (probably because I type too darn much ).

However, I'm totally supportive of editing an image out of a quote. Unless your comments are specifically regarding the picture, you really don't need to quote an image.

WTF???

EDIT...OK, this is not a response to the previous post.
When I posted this the first time, the last post was by "BC system" and as text it had two of the text ads like we get atthe top of the page now. But after I posted they were gone....What gives?
