http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLV

FLV (Flash Video) is a proprietary file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player (formerly known as Macromedia Flash Player) version 6, 7, 8, or 9. FLV content may also be embedded within SWF files. Notable users of the FLV format include YouTube, Google Video, Reuters.com and MySpace.

Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems, via the widely available Adobe Flash Player and web browser plugin, or one of several third-party programs such as Media Player Classic (with the ffdshow codecs installed), MPlayer, or VLC media player.

I know what the file type is, and I did google it for players. Wikipedia didn't show up in the first few pages (atleast not for me). And I ended up empty handed.

Not to mention that some people here find some really cool programs and stuff that a google search may not yield.

I've never figured out how to download the videos from youtube. I should try, though, so my sig will link to my own site instead of someone elses youtube site...
