Default Plane crashed in my neighborhood!!!

Seriously, it did!!!!

It crashed about 4 blocks from my house. The spot where it started it'* take-off is about 100ft from my house. For those of you who don't know, my backyard is butted up against a medium sized community airport. Here is a link to the local news article; and no, I haven't had a chance to see the plane wreck yet (although this is the second one next to my house in about 2 years :? )

(you can see the tower in the picture; my house is about 1.5 blocks behind it to the right )

I use to live 2 blocks from Midway airport in Chicago and where I lived was in the direct path of planes. It was awesome to see those planes right over your head. You would have to cover your ears cuz the noise was so loud.

I had better not let my father see this post!!! When I was growing up he had a 1937 Piper Cub J-3. It was great especially when we would land it on the ice in the winter and fish for the day. He swore by that plane...all 65hp. At least the Super Cub has got 90!

Have you ever thought about moving? I hear in Bermuda the planes don't hit the ground nearly as hard

I thought it was the airport next to you. Ya, it'* nice to here no-one was seriously injured.
How far from the parking lot where we had the show did it crash? I'm betting damned close.
Sounds like the lady who'* property it crashed into had one heck of a surprise when she opened her door to a plane in the back yard. :? :?

Yup, same airport. The place we had the car photos durring the BBQ was right next to where the plane crashed 2 years ago (aother side of the fence). This plane crashed just past the other end of the airport this time.
