Default Pirates of the Carribean 3

Well, just got back, and I will not give away anything, but I can say this...

It was a really good movie, no doubt. "A" quality. However, I didn't like how much comedy/lightheartedness they mixed in, because this film is definitely the most serious and dramatic of the 2 films so far. It really just didn't mix well. Other than that, it was fairly well done, my hats off to them.

P.*. If you go, stay til after the credits (as usual)

I liked the first one a little bit. I wasn't impressed with the second one. I probably won't watch the third one. But maybe it'* not my kind of movie. I don't know. Everyone I've talked to that loved the first two, loves the third. Maybe it'll grow on me. You never know.

I just saw on the news this morning - 2 hours and 40 freakin' 5 minutes!! That'* gonna take a refill on the popcorn...

And you didn't like the "light-heartedness"?? It'* a freakin' comedy series man!!!! You have heard of dark comedy, right??

Oh don't get me wrong, I LOVE the comedy, and yes, I'll admit, just as I've followed his entire career, J. Depp makes the greatest characters come to life. Even Keith Richards playing Jack'* dad in the movie was good. What I meant was, all three of the movies have seemed to try to play it just on the edge of making some sort of "legend" just barely believable enough to almost think it could be real (My point is difficult to explain, lol).

The third movie had just a little too much added in there to make this work.

I know, perfect example... Spiderman 2, when the giant building is fixing to collapse on MJ, Spidey is holding it up with all of his might, and they proceed to have a 3-minute in-depth conversation that would otherwise have been heartfelt and touching, but the fact that he was supposed to almost be getting crushed completely voided the scene of all believability. This is similar to a lot of the POTC 3 movie. STILL, it'* a great flick.

On a further note, I do want to say that I'm simply giving an unbiased opinion. I am the type of person that LOVES getting to go out to the movies, and it would take a LOT for me to feel like I didn't get my money'* worth. However, in response to the length of the movie, most of the critics said it was too long. I disagree. It had a lot of ground to cover, and it was obviously difficult to explain all aspects of the story that they were trying to tell. The movie is lengthy, yes, however the story does not stall, it is constantly flowing, and the only issue I might've seen was that perhaps the writers tried to cram a little too much into one movie.

Too much story and not enough movie seems to be the theme so far this summer. I wonder how long the next Harry Potter movie will be? If they try to cram in half the book, it'* gonna be an awesome movie, but a real butt killer....

Hahaha, long live Harry Potter and the butt-imprinted movie seat!

The previews look really good so far, but only time will tell.
