1800 dollars later....
And The Missus basically has a brand new van...
Took it in for a "squeak" that it was just too dark and cold for me to deal with. Left the next day with new rotors and calipers, new rear cylinders and shoes, new oil cooler lines, couple of new marker lamp bulbs, radiator flush and fill, oil and lube, pluugs and wires, and I don't remember what all else was in the winterizing package.
Why do the high labor vehicles always decide to "break" in the winter? Not a freakin thing on the list I couldn't have done myself, except it'* just too freakin' cold and dark by the time she gets home.....
Buit, she loves her Astro, it'* still in good shape, and we'd never replace it for that price....

Judging by the receipt, the brake pads and shoes, as well as the oil lines, are carbon fiber.....
But, The Missus is happy. And the married guys know, If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy
Ooooooooo, and Momma'* cooking bacon right now! Time to log off and wait "patiently" for brunch to be ready.....

John, I feel for you. We just replaced the motor, starter, and battery in our Van. It was not cheap but less expensive than a new van.
Like your wife my wife is happy with the performance of the van. It now performs as well as when it was new.
