i bought a high flow cone filter, and boy did it make a difference...
i didnt think it would do much, but it did, also on a sidenote, the noise that comes outta my supercharger is rediculous, i scare people all the time. but anyway it seemed to up my cars performance greatly, im thinkin im gonna go for exuast next




so i went to the dyno a few days ago,

and this is wat im packin these days...

306hp-to the crank-255hp-to the wheels

376tq- to the crank-317tq-to the wheels

1/4mile/14.964

0-60/6.46

0-100/9.23

0-top out/not yet known? dun dun dun

all that with one mod, that only cost me 27 bucks

Welcome to BC!!! You're new home is here, so you might want to hang a do not disturb sign on the door of your old home.

As for the cone filter gaining you 66 HP and 37 lb ft of torque, I am going to have to inform you that:
1. the dyno you ran on is either out of whack.

2. Your car has mods done prior to the cone filter (i.e. rockers, cam, PEM'*, headers, smaller SC pulley)

3. They gave you someone elses #'* and gave a higher output motor some #'* that read:

200 WHP -253 CHP
230 LB FT @ wheels
290 LB FT @ Crank

You should see the mod list of some of the guys who are just achieving those HP/TQ #'*. Those #'* also would put a 00-03 SSEi in the 14.0 @ 99 MPH.

LOL welcome, at least the $27 mod looks good in your head... but id love to race ya

i hate to do this, but there is no possible way you have 255whp with nothing but an air intake.

you must have some other mods on the car..

As far as the dyno runs, it'* possible weather conditions etc changed or something else is off. Typically we haven't seen that type of change from a filter only. That would be very odd to have it add that kind of power. However... when I swapped my filter to a high flow, it was a noticable feeling.

You started out with 240hp CRANK and 280tq CRANK. Those numbers are not at the wheels.

Find another dyno, and ask for your money back from the last one.

anyway welcme to the forums, I'm wanting to hear how you hit 100mph in 9.23seconds

so i went back to the dyno, after i noticed that the papers where made out to a john bosthouse, now my name is michael, so it turns out i did get the wrong papers, they gave me a free run on the track, but they said they wont give me my money back for the dyno, i know ive got more power im just not sure how much, so im gonna go somewhere else to find out, ill post the results of that, ALSO i had my car in for its tune up, and it turns out the previous owner had headers, and smaller pulleys installed, so i didnt start out with a stock car! also they said something was done with the computer, so im not sure wats going on with that but im gonna find out tmrw.
