photoshop CONTEST

Just one question: Is anyone running Photoshop on an Athlon thunderbird ?
If I do anything more than this simple scale transform, the image gets speckled with little linear dots of primary colors. The anomollies become part of the image (they smear, copy, paste and propogate with all tools).
1 Gig AMD t-bird, 768 M ram, ATI all-in-wonder 128 pro, Photoshop 7.0 on Win98SE oem.
ANY suggestions?
*EDIT* BTW Yes, it does corner and drift better now

i'd bet it'* the video card... try upgrading your drivers and maybe swapping out your video card with another to test it. For <$100 you can get yourself a geforce 4 or something that would probably fix it.

Geez SSEi - just make sure you have all the new drivers an are using a good quality picture that dosent have them things in it to be blow up an all....I'm thinking about making a "rice'ed" bonnie for the fun of it for the contest, I think it will out do that rora in the looks department

Thanks ppl, video card drivers was my guess too, but have latest drivers. Pics came from Minolta dimage @ 3 mega pix and don't act up on my brides e-machine + photoshop. This could be a good excuse for a new P4 or AMD 64 machine.
I see it now Zuki, 18 in. raised wing, big decals every were, no-rubber-on-these tires/wheels. don't forget iddy bitty euro trash headlights and 10 in. dia. exhaust tip.

OH MY GOD...
I just had a hilarious vision of an image of Yoda posted in on top of the handlebars. The rider would be saying "I just can't do it, it'* too far. I'll never make it..." Then Handlebar Yoda says something inspirational and Yoda-like, like "If fail in your mind you do, then fail in body you invariably must. Then screwed we both are, because on this bicycle I am too."
Hey, that last bit rhymed...lol...
Wow, I'm on a role tonight :P I should go write another poem or something, my creativity is flowin' like a girl during that oh-so-special time of the month...
