Default Paper Clip Report...WTF?

I got a stupid two page report due this Thursday about a paper clip. Yes, a paper clip I said! Two pages worth of BS! I plan on talking about the past, present and future of paperclips. How much more boring can this get. Any suggestions besides what I mentioned?

They come ine really handy to get the codes outta the pre OBD-II computers! Just bend it into the right shape and stick it into the ALDL connector LOL

As a copier tech, they have caused some really spectacular component failures when they short out something critical. They also cause some REALLY sweet paper jams in the paper feeders when they get in the way

You could tell about the travels of a paperclip, or give your paperclip a personality. Also there are the more nonconventional uses of a paperclip (key, art project, chains) to explore. Regardless...it'* gonna be a bunch of BS.

True, I never thought of it as art or keychain things. If I had the littleist idea of what crzydmnd72 was talking about then I would use that, I have no idea where to check the OBD computer. I do what I know to my car, and that aint much but the basic stuff. I know I use paperclips on cd-roms to eject them manually, whenever I leave a CD in them.

Oh, I can see the closing now...
So, you can see, the future of the paperclip is bright. Although it runs the risk of being overtaken by the more modern and advanced binderclip, who is vying for it'* traditional paper collating function, the paperclip shines with it'* versitility as a manual CD ejector or material for abstract art.

Okay, that was wierd, but it just kinda popped in my head...I thought it was somewhat entertaining. I'm still just in disbelief that that is actually an assignment.

Actually I am not allowed to. He allready said that to many people have used that in previous assignments. By the way, this class is Technical and Report Writing. One of the 3 more electives I need before I get my associate'* this summer.

It seems that the paperclip is a pretty important invention. A quick Google search brings up many facts.

I took Technical and Report Writing in college. It isn't about the subject, but about the writers ability to produce adequate information on the subject matter. In a technical line of work this is extrememely valuable. Try and learn from this class, as it is one of the useful non-technical courses that get you ready for the real world.

There'* actually alot there. Different types of steel have different properties. Spring rate of the metal is critical, as is what they can plate/coat it with to prevent corrosion. Even my pocketknife was designed after the paperclip
