I know this is true in Chicago as well. Especially when you are on the offramp to I-55 at a redlight. They have signs up begging for money. All I got to say is: GET A DAMN JOB LIKE THE REST OF US!!!
I know there are probably some legit folks that need help but there are other resources for them to use.
We just recently had a guy come to our church and ask our pastor for money. The pastor told the guy he would buy him some food but the guy declined.
