overhaulin' is way better than pimp my ride. pimp my ride is just stupid. all they do is put rice looking body kits, tv'*, 18 inch rims, and some useless crap in some of the cars. I wont lie, i have seen a couple things i liked. But, the show is framed and they just turn cars into ricers. I wouldnt want a Bonneville on there because it would show is class, luxury, performance, or individual style. just my opinion though.

There was a kid on there with a 240SX, 89 I believe. He posted on the 240 forum about how he had to make his car look worse because MTV MADE HIM!! He had to go find part out there that looked worse than he had, and had to put 2 extra rims and such on it. He also had a bunch done under the hood, which you could hear when X drove away. Basically, this kid just wanted to get the rest of the car done. MTV also has you sign an agreement not to sell anything off it because one of the first cars (maxima I think) was stripped and on ebay not long after it was done.

From various things I've heard, I gather that at least two of the people that got their cars "Pimped" had their cars stolen within a week of their show airing.
Think: they show everything that goes into your car, with make and model descriptions, and they also show your house.
It'* the Home Shopping Channel for car thieves.
If someone offered to put MY car on that show, I'd give 'em a fat lip.

the think i don't like about pimp my ride is that they don't do anything with the performance of the car, it would be funny if it was all tricked out then the engine died.

overhauling is an awesome show but i would like to see them work on other types of cars and not just trucks and old muscle cars (even though they are really really cool)
