Default Anyone have an Impala or Impala service manual

My sister'* boyfriend got a Impala after his Neon radiator broke. He sold the Neon for $1,900 to some person who never even drove it before they bought it Damn I feel sorry for them but they never asked so it not his problem. Anyways I got him into a 3800 2000 Impala for $7,000 with 7x,xxx miles. One thing that really bugs everyone that sits in the car is that the temperature control on his car has a burnt out bulb. It is a manual temp control but it has dual controls, no screen or anything though. The bulb on the drivers side temp control is burnt though and I was wondering how hard it will be to pull the beast out and replace the bulb.

I suspect it probably has about the same bulb the radio in the Pontiacs use for the main display.
Just pop the dash trim off (make you there are no screws before you yank real hard), take the 2-4 screws out that secure the climate control unit, and then pull the unit out far enough to get a look at the controller back side.

IIRC, that is the same climate control unit that was put in the Grand Prix when they went to manual sliders for dual CC.

It shouldn't be hard to do, just be carefull about wire-packs, and keep your screws organized.
You might try ClubGP, if you feel like putting up with that crap.

*EDIT* Found through the wonders of GOOGLE!

It'* probably a socketed 194 bulb.

The best way to find out it to remove it and take the thing apart. They aren't that hard!

I would have no problem just going and tearing it apart, but the dash piece that surrounds the heat control goes around the dash. Maybe I can find a JY car to practice on.
