so its come to the point [and has remained at that point for almost a year now, yipee] where i can walk into a pontiac dealership or a mitsubishi dealership and ask them about one of their cars - and know more than whoever im talking to about those vehicles. its awesome, great ego boost for me and im sure quite intimidating for them. i had one guy try to tell me that the bonneville had the series 2 in 93, and the series 2 in 98. sure, it was my fault he said it cuz id mentioned those years like they had some significance just to see what he knew. i feel like i could sell their cars better than they could. oh, btw, the supercharged series III was in the SSEi in 2004, and it had 240 hp. mwa ha ha ha.

Has anyone ever had a salesman try to sell them a 3.1 Bville? Or a 93 with a V8?

I always act dumb when I go into those situations, gives you a kind of clue on what they'll do to screw you, you know?

ive alternated dumb-ness and overwhelming knowledge. if im not serious about purchasing [as in most of the time], it depends on my mood. if im serious [once every few years], ive pretended to be stupid until they came back with a ridiculous offer then unloaded on them, and ive acknowledged from the beginning that i knew more than they did. in the second case, i didnt buy it. first one i did.
