OMG!??

I feel really bad. I never talked to her, but she was a member here. This happened to me at a Simpsons message board where I frequently visit also. One of our members passed away from an illness a while ago, and it hurts. Even if you never met them, there is an impact. The whole board seems to go silent as we all remember someone who we just knew by text.

Apparently, Alison wasn't the only special person here. Reading through this thread shows a few more. Maybe I'm biased, but I like to think we have one of the best boards around, filled with the best people. I'm honored to be here. It'* nice to see how such a good person can bring out so much good in the rest of us. It'* horrible that she had to pass for us to see it, but at the same time, it'* a reflection on her that she could have such an impact in so short a time.

Yup. He really did it. That first email to Ty was really convincing. Hard to believe someone would make that kind of crap up. He must have really messed up her computer for us not to hear from her until now. Time to focus all our energies on Jr and his Dad now. At least Alison has some idea that she has a few friends!

This is unusual but not unheard of.
Just a few weeks ago a woman at one of the main board I go to faked her own death. She was about to meet this guy that she had been seeing online for a few months and the next time he emailed her she replied saying that she was the brother and that she had died in an auto accident.
This was not someone else playing a cruel joke saying that she was dead this was the woman pretending to be dead to get out of the meeting or seek attention or something.
Another member from this same board dissappered almost a year ago and has never returned. He had many heart problems and the last post he ever made there is dated about 36 hours before he was supposed to have major heart surgery. He said that he would try and make a post or email someone as soon as he was able but he never posted on the board again.
We will probably never know what happend to him. :(
