Boring video, but you get the idea. Amazing how these things have changed so rapidly. This one obviously has a stepper motor instead of a voice coil. I have one similar to this one, a Seagate 40mb, that has been dropped 3 times (intentionally) and still works without a hiccup.

You want old school, I've got a working Conner 100mb HDD from like 1990. I'll have to see about taking apic or two if I can dig it out.

I used to have a 2 megabyte hdd, 5.25 wide and 5" tall. from the early 80s or late 70s I forget.

yeah I have a old Quantum 49 mB SCSI from my amiga 2000 of 1990/91

I'll have to see if I can dig up my old 5mb winchester drive, yes the original. it was the size of a microwave oven.

It was 2 x the size of that one
