If you've seen the video and don't think it'* a pretty cool phone, then there'* no hope for you.

I don't care about cell phones, what they look like, etc. I wish I didn't NEED a cell phone. I rarely use it and I could use the extra $70 a month. But when I heard about the iPhone, watched the keynote of the introduction of it, I wanted one. I would save up the money to get one. This is something that I would actually use a lot more often, and not just the phone features, but the music and video and even the maps feature.

EDIT: I didn't remember hearing if you can make your own ringtones. I'm sure you can at least download music tones from Cingular (AT&T) though like any other phone.

I've seen the vids, and have followed the news and press releases. The POS call comes from Apple insiders. Word on the street is that they rushed the intro, and discarded features to keep the size. Word is also that battery life sucks because of all the whiz-bang VISUAL enhancements.

The video shows visual hoopla. I could care less how to access menus, or the animations involved in doing so. I want actual features.

My phone synch'* with Outlook, shoots pics, video, plays MP3'*, can make ringtones, and is easy to use. It also has great battery life.

Compared to the iphone, my phone is a god. In fact, the phone I had 3 years ago had more PRACTICAL features than the iPOS.

Finally saw part of the video last night at the gym. It'* the latest Cabbage Patch Doll. Something that people have been convinced they can't live without.

I drive a 10 year old car... mostly because it does many things so well that current vehicles can't because they are too "advanced"

I could care less, I can think of many better uses of that kind of $$. I thought this was hilarious though:

The Razer was in the same place when it came out...

Everyone that hates or puts down the phone just doesn't want to Spend the $ or want a Cool phone that does lots of stuff in a diffrent way from every other phone out there.

The Bat life from the specs look good. and i dont know about you. every phone iv ever had the Battery life in the specs was always close to real life.

Far as the Windows CE and other smart phones... THEY SUCK. i hate my Cingular 8125 HTC.
its a nice phone. but sucks for everything else... it runs Windows Mobil and its slow. clunky. and crashed once in a while...

The iPhone looks to be way better in Ease of use, and cool toys.

If i had $600 i would have one right now!

I don't have a razor and haven't found a phone yet that actually stands up to it'* battery specs like the E815 I had. The Kzr sure doesn't.

Ryan..I am quoting you because this is the same thing you said with your last two phones to me. Each one sucked.. this current one you have 8125 was the bomb and the last thing you'd ever want......you paid good money..now..it'* not that old and you hate it. What do you think makes the IPhone so much better? The price sucks..I can tell you that..but any new technology is going to have a high tag.

Its not what it has that makes it better them my current phone..

Its the way you use the things it has, a GREAT Touch screen and it has a Great Interface.

Easy to make a call. Easy to edit and change things.


Yes. my current phone is better then my last one. but now that iv had it for almost a year now. i have found many thing that suck about it.

Untill the iphone, there was NO!!! other phone other there that offered the things the iphone does and how it does it.

You got to watch the 20min long video to really under stand all the cool and easy things about the phone. the TV ads and short videos really dont show it.

a Fad would be the same old way of doing things with a diffrent look. the iPhone changes the way you brows the Web, make calls, and play music and movies.

No other phone out that can do the things the iphone can do and with the ease the way it does it.

oo and my current phone and my last one was the only one iv had with cingular. before that i have the E815 and i LOVED it. but Hated verizon.
So for now. form Cingular. i think the iphone is the best PDA, Multi use, MP3, other phone out there.

And next month the new Motorola, Nokia and LG solutions will be on the market.

and unless they have a Multi touch screen and play movies and MP3s and brows the FULL internet like the iPhone they are not going to be as good
