I'm not talking about needing 2 gallons of fuel personally, i'm talking about realising what'* important and what isn't.

move on, deal with it Yes well the reason it is so high is because OPEC is telling the oil companies to stop producing the oil to drive the price up. It hasn't been this high in 14 years ( almost 40$ per barrel).
Also this is what the price is here, remember that is per liter so that price X 3.78 to get price per gallon.
so that is 3,39$ per gallon for the cheap stuff.

its not just OPEC, though they dont help much. Here in Illinois (I dont know how it is in the rest of the country), the refineries that we have are old and break down alot, and with the EPA and such its too expensive to build new ones.

$1.07 Canadian per liter last night when I filled up x 3.78 l/gal.
$70. to fill her up after 450 km......so that'* .16 / km.....1.6 km/mi......not including wear & tear and insurance. It probably cost me more for rubber / km.

The last time OPEC drove the price up a lot, was the 70'*, and it'* still Biting them in the ***. Gas is as cheap as it has ever been since then when you factor inflation.
When OPEC jacked it up in the 70'* that forced everyone to use less. Cars didn't come with v8'* they came with 4 bangers, and some had sixes, People started driving less, and our govt soaked up some of the cost. This actually pushed prices lower then they were before OPEC jacked them up, in the long run, thus hurting OPEC.

regular ia 1.869 in central CT and going up fast.
Milk also going up to 3 -$4 gal.
Its true if people conserve and use less it will drive the price down.
PEC artificially caused this situation.
