we set up the appointment for friday morning 9am i left work at 6am to meet my mom it is a 70 mile drive from my shop to grand haven where the truck was at. they called me thursday night TWICE to confirm this appt. the 2nd time they called was 7:15pm on my way to work.. so anyway i get down there with my mom and we had time to waste so we cruised around my dad calls and says the salesman TEXTED the home phone and said the truck was sold at 7:30 thursday night.. 15 mins after he called to verify my appt. so i go to the dealership a half hour early and played dumb not letting them know i already knew it was gone.. im furious at this point. when they said what happened i blew up and said i drove 70 miles for this truck we had an appt why didnt they call after it was sold etc etc.. they apologized and said they didnt know it was sold until this morning when they came in.. someone OBVIOUSLY knew because my dad received that text only 10 kmins prior to me showing up there so the guy we were supposed to meet with was 1. to scared to actually CALL he sent a text... and 2. was no where to be found when i was supposed to meet him at 9... pretty fishy right?
anyway they are trying to find me another truck on one of their 6 lots.. they are mentioning all regular cabs, an avalanche etc im like no. i want an extended cab 04 or 05 gmc/chevy and they swear up and down that that gmc was a rare case and i wont find one like that anywhere.. i then proceeded to name off like 5 different dealerships with trucks like that and he shut right up about that.. he then offers me and starts pushing this 2007 gmc sierra.. they wanted 17,900 for it and said it was worth 20,000 i asked how many miles he said 128,000 and i say no thats too many.. and he swears up and down its all highway miles the truck doesnt look like it has that many miles etc etc.. and i say ok fine let me take it for a ride.. so he pulls it around.. i walk out and look at it and right away see a 2" by 2" rust spot at the front of the driver side rocker, i said well thats not supposed to be there.. he says you know what thats from? the water and dirt flying up from the wheel.. and i said yea... clearly.. and its not good.. he said well you gotta put some mudflaps there to take care of it.. i said no.. you need to sand and repaint that and then protect it.. anyway he opens the door for me and shows me heated electric leather seats and goes on and on about it i said yea i know how that works and hes like alright have fun.. so i get in and look around the driver seat is worn from getting in and out, i tried to push some radio and climate control buttons and all of them either stuck in when i pushed them or were hard as hell to push and then stuck so that was a huge turnoff (i hate the new stereo setups in new chevys) as we are driving my mom opens the sunroof and we notice a huge leak, we looked back and at the back of the headliner on both sides are HUGE water stains from the water leaking into the headliner and building up.. the wheel speed sensor was bad in the rear wheel so the traction control and abs lights were on the whole time.. so i stopped at a parking lot to look closer there was a real nasty deep scratch that actually dented the side of the front passenger fender which ran onto the headlight and looked terrible, there was more rust on the other side rocker it was .
so i get back to the dealership and he says what do you think and i started laughing and said no... just.. no. and i then named off every single thing wrong, and he turned red with embarrassment, his little buddy totally stopped talking he said if we fix all them things what would you say? i said still no.. because not only does it have high miles it has 2000 more than you originally told me. he then said ok and called in some shady black dude to get me 20$ worth of gas for my huge waste of time and i left and will never come back.
