Yup, that'* right. He'* probably buying a Chevette as a work car.
He'* had 3 Chevettes already, and they are ultra reliable, and hella good on gas. Just what he needs for back and forth to work!

He sold them for larger cars when he had us.
First one was a '79 he owned from 85-88, sold it for a I think a '82 Impala.
Second one was in '95, I think it was a '85, sold it for a Plymouth Voyager
Third one was in 98, sold that one in 2000 for a '96 Buick Century.

Haha I like how the title starts with "Running car!"
We used to know a guy with one of those (or it may have been a Chevy Citation) who tried to rice it out to the max in our hometown. He had a coffee can, self-applied vinyls at one time over his primer gray "paint," etc etc. We used to call him Chevy Eddie, cause no one knew his real name.
I remember one time, he gunned it trying to impress a group of people I was standing with, and after a few sharp backfires, the axle broke. Good times...
Of course, this story involved someone who thrashed his car. I'm sure those things would run forever if you treated them well

Oh yeah... Chevettes are long runners. In fact, the '79 he owned had around 200k on it. All I know is he bought it off my uncle, and my uncle said the odometer turned over twice, so it had around 245k on it when he sold it. He said my Mom thought it had 45,000 miles on it, until he told her what it really had.
