Funny you mention Russia. CNN was making a big stink as to wondering why so many Russian cars have dash cams in them. Well duh! The hundreds of videos on Youtube would be a clue slick.
IMO, every new car should come with black box version dash cam.

I think I will investigate HD car cams at aprox $250, for myself that is portable between vehicles.

I lived in Russia for 4yrs. It'* amazing I didn't get slaughtered (and thankfully my '94 LSS only suffered a passenger side mirror smack). Driving there is a matter of inches. Every single time I returned home with everything still intact, I could actually feel my body de-stressing.

Without fail, the mooks in Central Asia and Eastern Europe seem to think they're at the top of the food chain as soon as they can finance a Landrover, Mercedes, Audi, or beemer. I've seen a Maybach crushed flat all the way back to the front seats, Audis completely destroyed, and mangled Beemers. They will slaughter anybody in their way.

Idiots don't realize that if you own a Mercedes in Western Europe, you're a taxi driver. Here'* for them

I have to ask since you have experience in these areas....
I see a lot of speeding in local town type areas...are their posted speed limits in town what is it if there is?
Highway//speeds posted speeds? Do trucks have slower posted speeds or is it overall a free for all ??
I assume all vehicle driver'* have to pass road test to get a licence and info/ about age and restrictions /process and cost?
I really dont see any police enforcement is this part of the problem intoxication there? Fines are what if u get caught..what is the story there, I guess everybody'* got a car cam for insurance purposes but really why so many bad accidents...??? Every body in rush and dont care about others on the road-pedestrians too?
I also see a lot of beaters on the road I suppose there is no car inspections beside commercial vehicles?

i always wanted one of those go pros primarily for the quad but they are to expensive for what they are. so i thought when im in the car i just put my phone in the phone holder with the camera lens above the holder. so i can just hit record or take a pic if something comes up. i got a decent holder that doesnt bounce for maybe $20 but i got it so i could see my torque data anyway
