JD Power There'* a lot of factors in this as well, such as what'* counted as a problem, what isn't, owner'* perceptions of acceptability, etc. Audi owners will nit pick every little issue. Consumer Reports? They can't tell a good handling car from a radio flyer with a blindfold on.

Buick better then Lexus? I Had a lucerne for a week last summer, no it wasn't better, even had parking sensors and remote start...

I would love to see 1, 3, 5, and 10 year plots for issues however.

The comments are even better..
Why is Lexus in there? They build some of the biggest piles of **** on the planet. Buick, Cadillac provide years and years of service while Lexus owners just cry about wasting their hard earned dollars on a worthless pile of crap. Comparable GM models are infinitely more reliable, of better quality and aren't ugly like imports.

That'* a fact for you import losers to chomp on.

I am actually surprised to see how low VW scored cause I see alot of good running VWs on the road. I drove a Lucerne V8 one night when the dealer had my GXP in for service. Not the best car but much much improved compared to previous buick offerings and super quiet inside even quieter tham my 745i.

VW is down there because of a lot of B5 A4'*, Passats and what not, the Mexican Jetta 4-6 years ago wasn't the most reliable either.

Thankfully my GTI is made in Wolfsburg..

I don't know what a B5 A4 is, but the 4-6 year old Jetta wouldn't have been in their consideration.

If there'* ANY "import loser" vehicle that'* more reliable than an American car, it'll be a Lexus

I can attest that Audi owners nit pick. Especially when there is free coverage for everything on the car. Things that we had done to our Audi under warranty (all free):
My parents each broke the power seat adjuster, we had a fog light get hit by a rock, we had a headlight fog up, I broke the ash tray in the back while I was bored, there was a computer problem with the car that had to get reflashed.

Think about the way people drive, I'd assume someone would drive an Audi harder than a Buick, or a Pontiac harder than a Buick. And Honda drivers might drive there cars more (I mean, they buy them for the economy and reliability, right? They sure as hell don't buy them for looks and speed. )

I like this study, though. Go GM!
