Pontiac is the only solid american name, they are the only manufacturer that hasent been in the news for needing 100 billions dollars to burn in the furnace, i agree 100% with black pearl, chubbyboy and danthurs, saturn can kiss by behind, nobody likes them, i honestly think that pontiac is the only stable name that can withstand this recession: Obama, i have now lost all respect for you, and to think i actually like you, wat a stab in the back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEHE! Your wish almost complete... SAAB is being sold back overseas somewhere i forget, and Hummer and Saturn are already out the door... the dealership was told about a month ago that GM has already signed the paperwork and sent all GM Sales Managers the info that service is to still work on them, parts will NOT be continued, and all sales/production is going to be ended at the end of the fiscal year, so they are dropped... not to sure about Buick tho

Our Sales Manager and Service Manager got into a debate over how we would be able to service vehicles with parts that are not being manufactured anymore. All the while, we were already waiting on a back-ordered set of shocks for an H2 that was sitting on the rack with blown rear bags hehe fun times at the crashing dealership

Aftermarket parts should fill most of the vacuum, but something to be leery in buying "the last of the product lines". Done is done. The majority of Pontiac Dealers carry other lines, It sux X10 for the standalone ones. The ripple effect is going to bolster our ever increasing unemployment roles. Alot of the passenger cars share Chevy and Buick counter parts, but an H3? Pffft. Maybe American Motors will bring the real Hummer back to the public.

I'm still having a real hard time believing that America has let the financial fix we're in allow for an elected official to scuttle and replace the CEO and Board of Directors of one of the largest global corporations. And with just a phone call at that. No courts, no edict from Congress. And then basically tell them how to run their business. And what of Chrysler. Just back in American hands and now told to sellout to the Italians or shut the doors. Change? We got change all right. He'* giving the Bush Admins a free pass out of the their mess, keeping the legislation that stripped us of so much of what we use to call freedom, and now using bait called bailout money/stimulus funds and handcuffing Corporate America and States. I feel sorry for the Governors who have the cohones to refuse to give up state rights by accepting the funds. And now the media which had made Obama, the "darling of the press", is blitzing them telling us they are ignorant and turning down money for poor people, unemployed, and handicaps. From what I can gather, these Governors that are being painted Demons, are the only elected officials that actually give a dam about integrity and preserving what rights we and statehoods have left. I'm waiting to hear that the Democrats will repeal the 2 term limit amendment. Long live Emperor Obama. What next?, his face on the Euro?

My mom had a 1990 Bonneville SE until '07, her name was Bonnie, it had 300k+ on it and still ran strong.. the only reason she doesn't have it is because of a careless semi driver. R.I.P. Bonnie 1990-2007.

it'* really sad, there will be less and less of continuing lines of domestic cars. i had hopes for a new GTO, maybe firebird and maybe reinstating the bonneville.
When i was a young lad the public could not wait for the new years car models to come out. I've been driving pontiacs for years and now GM has to cut them loose,
not to mention all the jobs people will be without this summer. Gotta stick by and help get our domestic manufacturing back.
goodbye wide track driving excitement, trans ams and goats
it'* been a great ride
I'll still be driving my 94 bonneville

I agree with everyone as I mentioned in another thread. I see a lot of Bonnevilles as well as grand ams around where I live. Saturn should have gone before Pontiac. It is my opinion that GM should have taken the best of all platforms from each division and put them together while discontinuing the ones that were failing. I just can't believe I won't be able to buy a new Pontiac the next time around.

/cry
