you have no idea how much this upsets me. so, my dad just found out two days ago that his job has been eliminated. which puts our family in a very tight situation. now, the final straw to any loyalty to GM is broken because we're a pontiac family. my mom drives a torrent, my dad drives a vibe, and i wish i had a bonneville. this is terrible. just great. i think GM'* goal is to alienate ALL of its loyal customers before it finally dies.

lol figures ... sorry ... i only say this because the dealership i work at is Chevy, Dodge, & Jeep specifically. We support both GM & Chrysler motors, the other GM dealership is GMC, Caddys, Buick, Pontiac... so both cover the whole spectrum lol. The owner announce to our service manager and sales manager that he is having to make the decision whether or not to keep Chrsyler or drop it... He was told that once Chrysler finishes falling its dead. GM is NOT going to support and help it get back on its feet, its had a good run and its about to run out. That being said he is considering dropping it to keep from having to support it due to finances, because he has to keep it in both service and sales or not at all.
IF he dropped it, it would cut our service and parts income by 2/3 due to all the dodge diesel motors we work on lol,,, thusly half the employees would lose their jobs until the whole dealership died. If he keeps it were having to sell cars that will not be produced anymore which may or may-not affect the value of them, and fix with parts that will no longer be manufactured lol
So i say it figures that they would drop both lol.... now both dealerships lose

I totally agree. Pontiac is the sporty line, saturn is the lame line.

I think Buick, Saturn, Saab and especially Hummer should go first. Buick was doomed to go the way of Olds until Pontiac/GMC took them over and sent their sales back up. Saturns are mostly mooched off of pontiacs anyway. I didn't shed a tear when I got married, I didn't cry when my daughter was born, TODAY, gentlemen, I weep!! In less than five minutes my '02 SSEi went from an all season daily driver to a nice weather only, three season occasional driver. I thought about trading my SSEi in on a G8 GT, not anymore. The Bonneville was the flagship of Pontiac and it will remain the flagship of MY garage. How can you do this to the company, the reason for the muscle car era?

i feel the same way. pontiac is EVERYWHERE around here. its been the pioneering division since GM bought it and it would be a shame to see it go. i hate to say it but pontiac is the ONLY reason i would ever buy a new GM vehicle when i have the means to do so. chevy is boring, saturn will be gone, and buick will be busy in China so what does that leave me with? a gas eating truck from GMC? no. nothing. i'll be taking my business to a company that has a car is practical and turns heads like pontiac did.

so, as far as I know, its not 100% official and as history has already shown, GM has issues making up its mind. so there'* always a chance that pontiac will pull through the next few years until the doom and gloom begin to clear.
