WOW! Somebody has access to a plating tank. I worked in a large plating vendor'* shop as an industrial electrician for IBM for 7 years.Although the plating bath takes alot of cash to makeup, it is depleted very slowly. A little gold goes a long ways. First the parts are nickel plated, then a gold "flash" is plated on. I wonder how it holds up to heat. I bet that is just a show *****.
