I just got the latest issue of C&D and focused my attention on two cars. The Caddilac STS Spec-V with its supercharged Northstar V8 pumpin out 440hp @ 6400rpm and 430ftlb @ 3600rpm. It traps the quarter mile 13.8 sec@101mph.
The second car, the Chrysler 300C SRT-8. 425hp@ 6200rmp & 420ftlb@ 4800rpm. Yup, its faster than the V trpping the quarter 13.4 sec. @ 105mph. The interiors seem about equal in quality with a edge to the Caddy.
Base price for the 300C SRT-8... $41,000.
The Caddy STS-V..... $75,000 !?!?!?!?
Hmmmm... $34,000 more for a car of vast similarities. C'mon GM, I really want to keep buying you're bada$$ cars in the future but they are to dang expensive. Whereas Chrysler has a very similar car thats in my price range. I might get in trouble for saying this but i'm going to anyways. The reason Chrysler can sell these nice cars for so low is all the repair money they have gotten from people over the years. I've gave Chrysler a few grand a few years ago due to...... dum dum dum.. transmission faliure.
I'm sure a little bit of that money went into that wicked SRT-8, eh?

Dude......They don't get paid enough to think....remember???? lol....That'* pretty sad that GM'* over pricing that car that bad though.......34k extra better make me breakfast in the morning.
The Caddy actually performs and is made from quality materials. The 300c has cheap materials inside, and the brakes aren't HALF of what the ones on the STS-V are. The STS-V aslo handles MUCH better then the 300.
The Caddy is the full vehicle (is the V AWD?) while the 300 just has a hopped up motor.

you can bet that caddy will last alot longer than the 300C. Its made to compete with BMW and MB cars. THe 300C srt8 will probably go through trannies like nothin.
