Not another vehicle!!!!!!

I dropped him off after work today.
He managed to start it again and was off with a few other friends.
I could hardly believe how muddy and dirty it was.
Every square inch was covered even the engine compartment was unrecognizable. Clumps of turf wedged under the front end. Back bumper had a ding where he backed into a boulder.
The battery was hanging loose cause it tore loose from its mount and was bouncing around in the engine bay.
He said he just leaves it in first gear and keeps it below 6500 rpm, spinning and fishtailing all the way. Stopping for a few minutes until the temp gauge moves away from the H mark.
I give it two more days........if he'* lucky.

reminds me of my actual first vehicle when I was 14. My 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger slant6. I paid $150 of my own lawn mowing money for it, and drove the **** out of it at my grandmas farm. Through ditches, corn fields, major burnouts on the gravel, etc...
I ended up selling it for $300 to two guys with dreds

Well he crashed into a ditch last night and they ended up sleeping in it.
Tore off a rear tire and ran it on the rim until it destroyed the rim.
He'* going to the scrap yard to find a new wheel and tire.
I had to laugh when he said they found an abandoned car and tried to fit its wheel on it. Surprise......it didn't fit.
Two outings and that was it. Can't imagine what it looks like now
I shouldn't underestimate boys ability to get it going again though.

Guess I am more mature. I took great care and valued my first car.

He didn't buy it as a first car. He bought it to play with and trash for fun, testing the limits of mechanical fortitude, with two of his buddies.
He thinks his first car is the 79 Trans Am that'* sitting in my driveway..........ya, right.

Clarification: My original intent when I bought the car wasn't to save it and work on it until I got my N, Shadow... My friends and I split a couple hundred bucks and bought it for the PURPOSE of thrashing around on the dirt roads.
I'll say it'* already paid itself off and then some for the fun I've had with it, regardless the damages, which aren't too extravagant. The fender is bent, and we already switched the tire and wheel which only cost $35.
No need to go off calling me irresponsible because I broke my "first car" so quickly (although it isn't broken YET). You can call me immature, fine. MY BAD I don't spend a tiny amount of money on a beater with no hopes of ever seeing a road for more than a couple hundred more clicks to be my first real car.
