anyone use it? how do you like it? I just got it and am tring it for the first time. Seems simple to use of the image is good then it might be worth the disk space.

use it all the time. Love it. If you get a wild hair and want to experiment, make a ghost image, experiment, and dump the image back on. Easy as pie.

I just "got" version 9

V9 is a little different from prior versions. Still good, but not as versatile IMHO. Once you create an image file you will only be able to restore it using Ghost 9 and I haven't seen (maybe I'm blind) a utility to make a boot disk so that means you need to boot from the CD.

I have images of all the drives of the 7 computers I own. As a further measure of protection, both my main system have multiple RAID1 arrays for the boot and storage disks...I will never loose files again! That said, I like Ghost Corporate for the multicasting of images over the network using DOS...awesome!

What does 'ghost' do?

makes an "image" of your drive incase you lose everything.


Foghorn: I was just testing the program. I just got a Maxtor external 300gig, and it has back up software too. I'm not sure which I will keep. Maxtor software is definately easier to use and takes less time for the same exact back up

I used to use it now I use program called acrionos, it harder to use,but has more optoin better compression

well heck i feel cheated now. about 2 weeks ago i lost every thing. had to do a total reboot. tryed to do a reboot, but not a reboot. where even after you delete everything you can still bring it back (forget what its called. i know its not ghoast but ne way)
ya i lost everything cause the kids like to download what ever they can posably download. all my pics, all my music, all my papers that i wrote. realy sucks
