DIXON – The Dixon City Council will meet in emergency closed session at 6:30 tonight to be briefed on today'* arrest of Comptroller Rita Crundwell.

Crundwell was arrested at City Hall by FBI agents. She faces a federal charge of defrauding the City of Dixon of more than $3.2 million in public funds since just last fall, the U.*. Department of Justice announced in a news release.

She is.. er was comptroller for the entire City of Dixon, not just the schools. But the City has been pulling funds from all the schools because they didn't have the money. Now we know why... I don't know how she can live with herself.
