no video while watching dvd on computer

Default no video while watching dvd on computer

why? this computer is pissing me off the peace of crap reboots its self at random and now i cant watch a dvd. i have all current drivers. so now what?

all windows updates as well, and free of any virus and worms it might have gathered?
EDIT: you have WinXP I'll asume so use the event viewer and see what it tells ya

yeah its the video card. i took it out and im useing the onboard video card and now i can see the movie. well this sucks. i wonder if its causeing all the random restarts.

when you did the new video card did you disable the onboard one?

it dosent normally disable itself it will still try and work like you have 2 different ones at once disable it in the bios and deleat the drives for it and that might help the new card

I don't like on board video cards....make sure it supports DVD video

this week has been nothing but problems. the video card has been fine untill this month, well so far im just useing the onboard(which sucks) just to see if it will restart it self like it has been doing if it doesnt then i know my problem is my video card(which i hope its not). and while useing the onboard video its been much fast games boot up faster. so i think my main problem is my v card.
