My friend has a Nissan 240 with an intake and exhaust, I know its probably really fast and everything but man he makes it sound like his cars as fast as an f1 racer. Are they that fast?

While im on the subject, new F150'* whats the quarter mile on those things?

11 second? Where are you getting those numbers? my friend had a 98 240sx and it was no where near that. They are nice cars modded up, but in stock form, they are just like any other.

240sx are DOGS...Nissan ruined the 180sx/Silvia when they released it to North America. The KA24 (2.4L I4) is a very torquey engine for its size, but I don't think a 240sx with just an intake/exhaust would do anything below 16.

But if he swapped in an SR20DET (2.0L Turbo) he could do 13s easy.

the curb weight for a short bed, 2wd 2006 f-150 is 4670lbs from msn.com..

the most powerful engine offered is the 5.4l v8 with 300hp/365lb ft torque

that sounds like a lot of power, but thats also tugging at a lot of truck...

then theres gearing to take into account, your best bet would just be to google it, im sure someone has taken one to the track.

Is that a 240z or a 240sx?

The 240SX was redesigned with the Zenki Silvia body in spring 1994 as an early 1995 model. The hatchback and convertible were gone, leaving only the coupe. Aside from adding dual air bags and normal headlights, the S14 was almost the same car as the S13, but steering became slower and handling softer, lowering its fun-to-drive factor. Its 155 horsepower looked more inadequate with each passing year in light of 200-horsepower Honda Preludes. Note that there was now a difference between base and SE models, the former having having 15-inch wheels (vs. 16s), a softer suspension, and missing a rear stabilizer bar. Antilock brakes and a limited-slip differential came as a package. In 1997 it sported the S14A Kouki Silvia body style (aggressive projector headlights, new front bumper, hood, fenders, revised taillights, curved rocker panels, along with side skirts on SE and LE trim levels). 1998 was the last year of the 240SX in North America.
